One of the worst feelings for teachers is the sensation that you have to do everything on your own.

There isn’t always administrative support (or a budget) to plan fun and meaningful learning experiences for students that offer a change from more typical lessons.

So when a teacher from New York reached out asking us to sponsor a typing competition for her students, we jumped at the opportunity.

Wantagh High School EduTyping Competition

Nancy O’Connor teaches Business Management, Keyboarding, and Computer classes at Wantagh High School.

She is always on the hunt for ways to make learning fun and meaningful for her students.

And that’s where the idea for a typing competition was born.

Her keyboarding students had been working all year on mastering touch typing, using proper keyboarding form, and increasing their WPMs.

Nancy wanted to organize a fun way for them to show off their skills and celebrate their accomplishments.

In order to make the competition extra special for her kids, she contacted EduTyping.com about the possibility of sponsoring prizes, and we were more than happy to help out.

EduTyping sponsored gifts cards for the top three fastest typists.

The result was a huge success!

If you are interested in organizing a typing competition in your school, let us know. We’d love to sponsor some cool prizes for the winners!

Just shoot us an email at [email protected] to get in touch about making this happen.

We’re always looking for ways support teachers and students, and that doesn’t end at developing a great product.
