How Far Can You Soar?

Studies show that students are more invested in learning when they have a clear idea of how they are improving and where they stand on the route to mastery.

In fact, providing students with visual displays of their formative assessments has been associated with a 26% gain in achievement.

When we think about typing, students know they want to improve their WPM and accuracy.  This, however, can be hard for kids to visualize.

A 10 word per minute increase in typing speed isn’t necessarily easy for kids to picture.

Luckily, there are creative teachers who have found ways to help kids see how their typing skills are improving.

This week, we share with you a fun idea for helping students visualize their typing progress.

Instead of processing gradual increases in WPM as a mere number, this clever bulletin board idea will allow students to actually see how they’re progressing.

Before you know it they’ll see their typing skills soar to new heights.
