A few years ago, one of my friends convinced me to train for a half marathon with him.
To get started, we asked a professional runner to plan out our training schedule.
I’d expected it to be primarily long runs to help work our way up to 13 miles… but surprisingly, a huge chunk of the schedule was dedicated to sprinting.
As my friend explained, sprints are key to building the right muscles you need for running. In fact, they’re even better for building endurance than running long distances at pace!
I shouldn’t have been surprised, though… it’s pretty much the same in typing.
There’s no better way of improving your words per minute score than by training your finger muscles in quick and short exercises.
With this week’s activity, let’s show your students’ how they can work on their typing speed and accuracy by practicing Keyboarding Sprints.
