Coming Soon to EduTyping: Word Processing

October 10th, 2017 Mike Gecawich

Today thanks to the rise of texting, tweeting, chatting, facebooking, whatsapping (I’m running out of newfangled verbs here…) something has gotten lost amongst the current generation.

That is the ability to format documents properly.

That may not sound like that big of a deal. But it’s actually one of the most crucial business skills out there.

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but you can bet that employers will judge a job applicant by their cover letter.

If a student are not instructed in forming professional business letters, this could put a huge damper on their careers.

We find this skill to be so important, as of January 1, 2018 we will be introducing new curriculum to teach Word Processing in EduTyping Secondary.

While learning new letters and improving their typing speed and accuracy, students will also be exposed to how to create, change, and format word documents.

This will give students opportunities to practice their typing skills in real-life exercises, while still getting valuable support and feedback through EduTyping.

Note: for many teachers, this will enable you to meet more of your required computer skills criteria.

For teachers in Texas, for example, with EduTyping alone you will be able to meet 100% of your Texas Essential Knowledge Skills (TEKS) for Touch System Data Entry.

Keep an eye out for this update, coming soon!
